Supporting and working with an entire team of audio visual staff to set up and break down a live event production in whatever capacity they need help with. The general audio visual technician may also responsible for:
- Transporting, setting up, and installing media equipment and audiovisual support tools, including speakers, monitors, cameras, and equipment racks
- Setting up and performing electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction according to layout diagrams and schedules.
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Pushing cases to desired locations on live event production sets and strikes
- Following the guidance of project managers, crew leads, A1s, V1s, L2s ect to set up or tear down a live event production
