Studio Audio Engineer
$45 An hr (Metro Atl Only)(studio not included 3 hr minimum): Recording studio audio engineering in the Atlanta studio of your choice. Includes recording, mixing and reproducing sound during your allotted time. Responsible for the technical and mechanical aspects of sound to ensure the best sound quality possible.
Studio Audio Engineer with studio
$75-$100 an hr (Metro Atl only)(2 hr minimum): Recording studio audio engineering in a high quality Atlanta studio. Includes recording, mixing and reproducing sound during your allotted time. Responsible for the technical and mechanical aspects of sound to ensure the best sound quality possible.
Executive Production
Per project basis: Lead producer for the big picture of a music project. Gets projects done by working with the label, musicians, songwriters, and production teams to ensure the project runs smoothly and meets the client's expectations. Executive producers may handle many aspects of production, including:
- • Business decisions
- • Organization
- • Negotiation
- • Songwriting
- • Orchestration
- • Sound engineering
- • Vocal arrangements
- • Approving content and cover art
- • Music distribution and marketing plans
- • Selecting the musicians and technicians needed
- • Maintaining the production timetable and budget
- • Reviewing the final version to ensure the desired sound and quality
- • Developing strategies for album releases, music video concepts, promotional campaigns, and branding
Male & Female Voiceovers
Contact for pricing: A technique where a person speaks off-screen to provide narration, character voices, or other information. The voice actor is not visible, but the viewer can hear them. Voiceovers are often used in movies, TV, radio, video games, commercials, explainer videos, and documentaries. They can add depth, context, or characterization to a piece.
Project Manager
$800 per day (10 hr day): The onsite or offsite coordinator for overseeing the entire process of initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing live event productions from start to finish. The Project Manager is also responsible for:
- • Supervising personnel and activities
- • Coordinating resources
- • Collecting materials
- • Managing the budget
- • Operating AV equipment
- • Staffing crew for projects
- • Managing equipment for projects
- • Ensuring on-time completion
- • Preparing room audits
- • Providing operation reports and project updates
Hybrid A1/V1
$700 per day (10 hr day): The primary audio engineer and video engineer in a live event production, responsible for the technical design and live sound mixing of the audio system, in addition to managing all the video for an event. The A1/V1 is also responsible for:
- • Equipment maintenance and repair: Diagnosing and troubleshooting broken equipment
- • System redesign: Implementing changes based on client feedback or production needs
- • Relaying information: From the producer, director, and TD to the rest of the audio and video crew
- • Monitoring and adjusting audio levels: Throughout the performance
- • Working with video controllers and cameras to direct the set, strike, configuration, and operation of video systems
- • Handling projection, downstage monitors, presentation files, video playback, speaker timers, recording, screen switching, camera switching, and web streaming
A1
$600 per day (10 hr day): The primary audio engineer in a live event production, responsible for the technical design and live sound mixing of the sound system. The A1 is also responsible for:
- • Equipment maintenance and repair: Diagnosing and troubleshooting broken equipment
- • System redesign: Implementing changes based on client feedback or production needs
- • Relaying information: From the producer, director, and TD to the rest of the audio crew
- • Monitoring and adjusting audio levels: Throughout the performance
V1
$600 per day (10 hr day): The primary video engineer in a live event production, responsible for the video broadcast and video recording. The V1 is also responsible for:
- • Setting up and operating video switchers/scalers
- • Operating video mixing consoles
- • Color-matching and shading cameras
- • Routing video signal to projectors, record bays and numerous other medium
- • Running any video playback
- • Helping the presenter with their presentation
- • Showing the presenter how the room's video equipment works, such as the presentation mouse, laser pointer, and speaker timer.
L1
$600 per day (10 hr day): The primary lighting engineer in a live event production, responsible for the setup and operation of lighting system. The L1 is also responsible for:
- • Setting up, programming and operating lighting consoles
- • Directing fixture placement
- • Power and signal distribution
- • Assigning dimmer patches
- • Focusing lights
Projectionist
$600 per day (10 hr day): The primary technician that is responsible for projecting visuals onto large screens or surfaces in a live event production. The Projectionist is also responsible for:
- • Managing the set up of projectors
- • Coordinating the running of SDI or other data cables
- • Directing the placement, stacking, convergence and alignment of all projection equipment
- • Using software to map images to large screens or surfaces
Camera Operator
$600 per day (10 hr day): The technician that is responsible for operating a camera to broadcast and/or record images for a live event production. The Camera Operator is also responsible for:
- • Composing and framing shots
- • Coordinating the running of SDI or other data cables for camera broadcasting or recording
- • Using the technical aspects of lenses, film, light, filters and camera settings to achieve the desired look
- • Adjusting positions and controls of cameras and related equipment to change exposure, lighting and focus.
Breakout Operator
$550 per day (10 hr day): The primary technician who helps with live event production in smaller meeting rooms and breakout rooms. Breakout operators are also responsible for:
- • Operating simple breakout rooms
- • Setting up and striking projectors
- • Setting up and operating audio consoles
- • Setting up and operating video switcher/scalers
- • Setting up lighting consoles for basic stage washes, static lights or uplighting
- • Basic PowerPoint operation
- • Helping the presenter with their presentation
- • Helping the presenter with their mic
- • Showing the presenter how the room's equipment works, such as the presentation mouse, laser pointer, and speaker timer
A2
$550 per day (10 hr day): Assists the A1, or audio engineer, with the technical aspects of audio equipment for live event productions. Ensures the upkeep, acquisition, and use of microphones, backstage monitors, communication systems, and the audio system. The A2 is also responsible for:
- • Running microphones
- • Managing RF frequencies
- • Configuring back-of-house and the green room audio setups
- • Secondary sound board operator (only if needed)
- • Taking the lead on running audio cables and assembling speaker/line arrays
- • Managing critical run-of-show duties like microphone placement, rotation, and client/talent communications
V2
$550 per day (10 hr day): Assists video engineers, projectionists, and tape operators set up and take down video systems for live event productions. The V2 is also responsible for:
- • Setting up and breaking down projectors
- • Setting up and breaking down screens
- • Setting up and breaking down monitors
- • Setting up and breaking down cameras
- • Setting up and breaking down playback and recording systems
- • Taking the lead on running video cables
L2
$550 per day (10 hr day): Supporting the L1, or lighting engineer, throughout the setup and teardown of a lighting system during a live event production by making sure the lights are in the correct positions. The L2 is also responsible for:
- • Truss building
- • Fixture placement
- • Running cables for power and signal distribution
- • Precise light focusing
- • Console setup
Stage Manager
$550 per day (10 hr day): The chief liaison across all technical and creative departments who oversees all aspects of a show that happen on and around the stage. The Stage Manager is also responsible for:
- • Keeping the show running on time
- • Creating and posting the day of show schedule
- • Relaying information across all related departments in a stage production
- • Monitoring and adjusting audio levels: Throughout the performance
- • Managing and setting up the Green Room
- • Escorting and managing talent
- • Handling emergencies or issues that might arise during the show
Working Crew Lead (Large Crew 10 or more)
$550 per day (10 hr day): The technician in charge of signing in, directing and signing out the crew for a live event production. The Working Crew Lead (Large Crew) is also responsible for:
- • Being a liaison between the client and our crew
- • Accounting for and managing our crew
- • Transporting, setting up, and installing media equipment and audiovisual support tools, including speakers, monitors, cameras, and equipment racks
- • Setting up and performing electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction according to layout diagrams and schedules.
- • Loading and unloading trucks
- • Pushing cases to desired locations on live event production sets and strikes
- • Following the guidance of project managers, crew leads, A1s, V1s, L2s ect to set up or tear down a live event production
Working Crew Lead (Small Crew 9 or less)
$500 per day (10 hr day): The technician in charge of signing in, directing and signing out the crew for a live event production. The Working Crew Lead (Small Crew) is also responsible for:
- • Being a liaison between the client and our crew
- • Accounting for and managing our crew
- • Transporting, setting up, and installing media equipment and audiovisual support tools, including speakers, monitors, cameras, and equipment racks
- • Setting up and performing electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction according to layout diagrams and schedules.
- • Loading and unloading trucks
- • Pushing cases to desired locations on live event production sets and strikes
- • Following the guidance of project managers, crew leads, A1s, V1s, L2s ect to set up or tear down a live event production
General Audio Visual Technician (GAV Tech)
$450 per day (10 hr day): Supporting and working with an entire team of audio visual staff to set up and break down a live event production in whatever capacity they need help with. The general audio visual technician may also responsible for:
- • Transporting, setting up, and installing media equipment and audiovisual support tools, including speakers, monitors, cameras, and equipment racks
- • Setting up and performing electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction according to layout diagrams and schedules
- • Loading and unloading trucks
- • Pushing cases to desired locations on live event production sets and strikes
- • Following the guidance of project managers, crew leads, A1s, V1s, L2s ect to set up or tear down a live event production
